Overview In this permanent role, you will lead refurbishment and fit-out projects for a growing main contractor in Milton Keynes. You will manage delivery across multiple sectors, handling projects typically valued from £200k to £3m. You’ll work within a fast-paced environment, ensuring all construction elements are integrated smoothly. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain the company’s strong reputation and secure ongoing work. This position offers a hands-on leadership role with travel and occasional lodging as needed, contributing to scalable project success.
Responsibilities - Lead delivery of refurbishment and fit-out projects across multiple sectors
- Manage projects from planning to close-out with emphasis on quality and timelines
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors on site
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards
- Maintain strong client relationships and report progress to stakeholders
- Travel and lodging as required for project locations
- Contribute to business growth through effective project execution
- Handle project values typically between £200k and £3m
Key requirements - Experience with a reputable Main Contractor
- Track record on refurbishment/fit-out projects up to £3m
- Experience across sectors: commercial offices, industrial warehouses, retail, leisure
- Ability to manage fast-paced projects
- Strong knowledge of all elements of construction
- First Aid, SMSTS, CSCS
- Able to commute to Milton Keynes daily; willing to travel and lodge away when required
